Supporting families where the need is greatest

When a child is ill, the repercussions go far beyond the medical. Frequent appointments, time off work and unexpected expenses can rapidly undermine a family’s financial equilibrium.

The Governors of Hope financial assistance program is designed to provide direct, concrete support for essential day-to-day needs. In particular, this assistance can help compensate for loss of income due to illness, or alleviate certain ongoing expenses, so that parents can concentrate on what’s most important: their child and their family.

Assistance can cover, among other things

To offer maximum flexibility and adapt to the reality of each family, assistance is paid out in the form of gift cards, according to identified needs.

Long-term support

Beyond one-off assistance, the Governors of Hope program is based on ongoing support, designed to evolve with the reality of each family. When the situation is prolonged, support is adjusted to meet real needs, month after month.

Assistance is offered on a monthly basis and is carefully monitored. Each situation is re-evaluated regularly, taking into account changes in the child’s condition and the impact on family life.

This approach is based above all on listening and respect. Requests are analyzed with rigor, but also with humanity, to ensure that assistance is fair, responsible and consistent with the Foundation’s mission and resources.
